Face Up 21 Has Its Advantages

Playing face up blackjack may seem like it is easier than the regular version. I thought the thrill of the game, was not knowing if your going to win or lose. Rushmore Casino offers Face Up 21 in their table games section.

In Face Up 21, both the player and the dealer are dealt two cards face up. The goal of Face Up 21 is to get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over.

This game follows many of the rules as regular Blackjack and uses the hand Blackjack. Blackjack is a hand that totals 21 with using only two cards. Blackjack is automatically a winning hand.

To play, the player chooses a bet that with in the table limits. The limits at this table are $1.00 to $250.00 per hand. The player clicks deal and the cards are dealt. The player has a choice to hit, stand, double or split.

When the dealer is forced to stand on the first deal, the game automatically hits for the player until they win or bust. This rule applies in Face Up 21 only because the player is allowed to see both cards and know what numbers to beat.

When the dealer is not forced to stand on the first deal, the player can hit or stand. The dealer hits on any hard total of 16 or less and stands on a hard 17 or more. The dealer also hits on a soft 17 or less and stands on a soft 18 or more.

Of coarse there are advantages to playing open faced that are in favor of the player. Player does not have to worry so much about what card is not showing. Deciding to hit or stand are more apparent.

Reading the rules, which are located to the left of the screen will help player understand the difference between this game and Blackjack. Once a player is clear their betting patterns may result in better outcomes.
