How does a cool 50K sound? Sounds pretty good to me too, I thought. I took a brutal beating tonight inside Rushmore Casino’s Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker. I am a sucker for both the progressives and stud poker. Players may think, how often can a dealer really get an Ace/King or better? I found out, it happens more than one would think, or least it did tonight.
Caribbean Stud is a played between the player and the dealer. The object is to complete the game with the strongest poker hand. This game is played with a single deck of standard playing cards and is shuffled between each game. The dealer is dealt one card up and four cards down.
The player is dealt 5 cards up. Based on the players hand they can chose to call or fold. Payouts are paid based on the comparisons of each hand and is also determined on the value of the players hand. To play, a player must chose an amount to bet or ante. Ante’s can range from $1.00 to $250.00 per game.
When a player is choosing their ante they also should decide if they want to play for the progressive jackpot. To play, they can place their wager inside the little skull to the right of the table, then after every play it will replace itself. Once they have chosen the ante amount and placed their jackpot bet, the player presses deal and the cards are dealt.
If a player bets, a bet double the amount of their ante will be placed. Folding does result in losing the ante. Note that the dealer must qualify with a Ace-King combination or higher. So there are some hands a player may want to consider playing. For complete pay out information, enter the help section. The help section is located either to the left of the screen or in the bottom right hand corner.
Normally I have a great strategy that works for me, but tonight all stops were pulled out. This game is really great and fun to play, especially with the rising jackpot nearing 50K, who would not want to take a chance?
