Pontoon could very easily become one of my favorite 21 games. This game is so similar to Blackjack, that every time I do not play it for a while, I think the same rules apply. After about four or five hands, I come to my senses.
Rushmore Casino has set up the table just perfectly. Everything is easy to read and the limits and wins are clearly marked. The differences between Pontoon and Blackjack are very slight. The object of Pontoon is to get to 21 with either 2 cards or 5 cards, with out going over.
A couple of the differences are, pushes or ties, the dealer always wins. Another is players can hit after they have doubled down. One huge thing is that I have noticed that they want you to draw to five cards. So it seems like there are more low cards in the deck. I am not sure if that is a goal of theirs, but it an observation of mine.
I really do not care for the rule that dealer wins ties, but unfortunately I can not do anything about that. Other than that, I really love this game. It has a little something extra than the regular game of Blackjack. If you are looking for that something extra, Rushmore is the place and Pontoon is the game. Good Luck!
